Sieve the dry ingredients into a large bowl
Add in your butter and rub into the mix using your fingers
Make a well and add the two eggs, give the eggs a little whisk
Pour in most of the milk and mix, then add the rest as needed (use more milk or flour as needed so the mix is not too wet or dry)
Put the dough into a lightly floured surface and knead gently just enough to bring it together
Flatten and cut the scones (use a scone cutter or even a knife is fine)
Place onto a lined floured tray
Brush with some beaten egg and sprinkle on some sugar
Bake in a preheated oven at 170° fan for around 20-25 minutes (depending on the size of scone you have cut) until they are golden and baked through
Place on a wire rack and allow to cool
