Turkey Burgers
  1. Mix together ground turkey, garlic powder, onion powder, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper, egg and breadcrumbs in a mixing bowl, just until combined.

  2. Shape into 4 turkey burger patties about ½ inch thick. (they will be really wet). Use your thumb to make a depression in the center of each patty and place on a plate lined with parchment.

  3. Freeze patties for 20 minutes, to help them hold their shape on the grill.

  4. Grill Method: Clean grill grates and grease well with oil. Heat to medium high. Add turkey burgers and grill for a few minutes on each side, until 160 degrees F.

  5. Skillet Method: Heat the canola oil in a nonstick griddle or large nonstick frying pan over medium-high heat. (Or spray generously with non-stick cooking spray). Once hot, cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side.

  6. Electric Skillet method: heat skillet to 350-375 and cook patties 5-6 minutes per side. Add cheese for the last minute and put the lid on to keep patties moist and melt the cheese faster.

  7. Oven Method: Bake at 375 F for 25-30 minutes. Then sear on a hot pan for 2 minutes on each side.

  8. Serve on buns, with the condiments and toppings of your choice.
