Combine all the ingredients (except the flour) in a big bowl and whisk thoroughly until sugar and salt dissolve
Add in the flour and knead with a wooden spoon and then by hand until all the flour is incorporated
Let the dough rest for 15 minutes and knead for an additional 5 minutes to get a smooth and elastic dough
Divide the dough into 5 equal parts and shape them into balls
Place in an oiled tray (brushing some oil on top) and let them rest at room temperature for 1 to 3 hours
Oil a clean surface and stretch each ball out as thinly as possible
Fold the stretched dough and stretch it once again with a rolling pin
Cook in an already hot pan on medium high heat with a bit of extra oil for 3-4 minutes on each side
Slap inwards until the outer layer starts breaking off and serve
