Chop onion and green bell pepper into ½-1 inch squares by preference. Drain and rinse beans.
Season to preference and brown hamburger. Add to slowcooker. Use leftover grease to saute chopped onion and add to slowcooker.
Add bell pepper, beans, diced tomatoes to slowcooker, cover with tomato juice or V8 and stir to mix well.
Add preferred seasonings to taste. I like to use salt, pepper, chili powder, paprika, and a dollop of Balsamic vinegar (preferably Mama Celia's pomegranate or blackberry ginger flavors).
Cook on high for 3 hours or until hot. Taste frequently and adjust flavors as necessary.
