    Protein Frosting:

  1. Directions

  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a baking dish with parchment paper.

  3. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.

  4. Add the creamy peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and Greek yogurt to the mashed bananas. Mix until well combined.

  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, protein powder, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.

  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a thick brownie batter forms. If the batter seems too dry, you can add a tablespoon of milk (dairy or plant-based) to adjust the consistency.

  7. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

  8. If desired, sprinkle your choice of toppings over the brownie batter.

  9. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.

  10. Once baked, remove the brownies from the oven and allow them to cool in the baking dish for 10-15 minutes.

  11. After cooling, carefully lift the brownies out of the baking dish and transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing them into squares.

  12. Frosting

  13. While the brownies are cooling, prepare the protein frosting. In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, protein powder, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and well combined. Adjust sweetness to taste by adding more honey or maple syrup if needed.

  14. Once the brownies have cooled completely, spread the protein frosting evenly over the top of the brownies using a spatula.

  15. If desired, sprinkle additional toppings such as chopped nuts, chocolate chips, or shredded coconut over the frosting.

  16. Cut the brownies into squares and serve.

  17. Enjoy your delicious and protein-packed banana brownies as a nutritious snack or dessert option!
