Sourdough Discard Chocolate Bread
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Prepare a 9x5 loaf pan by lightly brushing it with butter or lining with a piece of parchment paper.

  3. Mix flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, and baking soda in a large bowl.

  4. In a separate bowl, add melted and cooled butter, white and brown sugar, vanilla, eggs, discard, and milk. Stir well.

  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.

  7. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.

  8. Bake for 55-65 minutes or until a sharp knife or toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
