Fruit Scones
  1. Add butter and SR flour to a bowl and rub together with fingers until they resemble bread crumbs

  2. Add baking powder, sugar & sultanas

  3. In a separate jug, combine milk, vanilla extract & lemon juice

  4. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir to bring it all together

  5. Tip the dough onto a floured surface and knead it together for a minute or so

  6. Flour a rolling pin and roll out the dough until it's about 1cm thick then fold it back on itself (as seen in video) - this will provide a natural split in the scone once baked

  7. Cut scone shapes using a disc cutter and place on baking tray lined with greaseproof paper

  8. Glaze with beaten egg and bake in oven preheated to 190 C fan for approx 16-20 mins (time will differ dependant on how big you make your scones)
