Start by making the batter. Beat the butter, spices, sugar, maple syrup, vanilla, and spices together until well blended and fluffy.
Then start boiling your water.
Add 1 ½ -2 tablespoons batter to a heat-proof glass.
Top with the hot water and stir until the butter has melted.
Garnish with a cinnamon stick or top with whipped cream.
