  1. Cook the pork with the salsa partially covered for 1½ to 2 hours.

  2. Check occasionally to see if the meat is tender; if not, continue simmering.

  3. If the sauce is getting too thick, add more water or broth.

  4. Fry the pork shoulder bone as well and simmer it with the sauce
