Brown 1 stick of butter and add 2 tbsp water
Combine brown butter, salt, and both sugars, whisking until fully mixed
Add egg and vanilla, then whisk until a very light brown
In a separate bowl, mix flour and baking soda
Combine cornflakes, 2 tbsp butter, and 1 tbsp sugar in a pan
Heat cornflake mixture on medium heat, stirring until butter melts and it smells toasty
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
Combine all mixtures plus chocolate chips and fold together until just barely mixed and flour disappears
Scoop onto parchment-lined baking tray
Bake for 10 minutes, adjusting time accordingly for smaller cookies
