Green Bean Casserole With Bacon And Parmesan
  1. Pre-heat your oven to 400ºF (200ºC).

  2. Over medium-low heat, melt the butter in a large 10-inch ovenproof skillet.

  3. Add minced garlic and cook, stirring occasionally until the garlic is fragrant (make sure not to burn the garlic).

  4. Add the chicken broth and simmer for 3 minutes, then add the cream.

  5. Cook, stirring occasionally until the mixture is thickened – about 5 minutes or maybe more if you prefer a thicker sauce.

  6. Season with salt, pepper and Italian seasoning.

  7. Remove the cream sauce from the heat and add the green beans.

  8. Give it a nice stir, combining the sauce and beans.

  9. Bake the green bean casserole until bubbly, about 10-15 minutes.

  10. Remove from the oven and top with parmesan and bacon.

  11. Toss to combine and transfer to a serving plate or bowl, then serve the green bean casserole with bacon and parmesan immediately, or reheat as desired.
