Slow Cooker Mongolian Ground Beef Chow Mein
  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat. Halfway through, add the minced garlic. Cook until beef is fully browned and garlic is golden. Drain excess grease and transfer to slow cooker.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, fresh ginger, black pepper, red pepper flakes, brown sugar, and beef broth.

  3. Pour the sauce over the beef in the slow cooker. Add sliced onions and stir well.

  4. Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2–3 hours.

  5. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in coleslaw mix and let it soften slightly.

  6. Just before serving, add cooked chow mein noodles and toss everything together until coated in sauce.

  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
