Karpatka Recipe (Poland's Famous Cake)
  1. In a pot, combine water, butter, salt, sugar, and vanilla. Bring to a boil.

  2. Once boiling, add the flour and stir constantly.

  3. Keep stirring for about 2-3 minutes until the dough thickens. Then, set it aside to cool.

  4. Once cooled, add the eggs one by one and mix well.

  5. Divide the dough into two equal parts, and place each in a separate pan, creating waves on top.

  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 35 minutes (do not open the oven door while baking).

  7. Once the dough is baked, fill the space between the two layers with the cream, pressing it down to make sure it fills all the gaps. You can also add strawberries or raspberries between the layers if you like, they go really well.

  8. After letting it cool in the fridge for a few hours, dust with powdered sugar, and your cake is ready to serve. Enjoy!
