Add the sausage meat to a large bowl and grate the apple and carrot into the bowl. Use your hands to mix well
Roll out the sheet of pastry on a large chopping board and place the sausage meat in a long cylindrical shape lengthways in top of the pastry just off centre.
Fold over the shorter side of the pastry, and roll the sausage meat over the rest so all of the meat is enclosed in a long roll
Use a sharp knife to slice the roll into 6 even sausage rolls
Whisk an egg and use a brush to give the sausage rolls an egg wash, top with a few optional sesame seeds and air fry for 15 minutes at 200c
Allow to cool and serve
