Squirrel Problem? Try These Non-toxic Options
  1. Rub the sides of your planters, fence, and leave a few used pieces in the fence where the posts meet at the top with fresh garlic cloves.

  2. Toss in a few crushed cloves to surround the area, depending on the plant or what's in the garden.

  3. Sprinkle cinnamon over the soil.

  4. Use washed, dried, and crushed egg shells.

  5. Use cayenne pepper as a spray or powder.

  6. Blend 1 bulb of garlic with 2 cups of water and let it sit overnight.

  7. Strain and dilute with 1 quart of water.

  8. Optionally, add a few drops of dish soap (helps it stick to leaves).

  9. Spray the garlic spray on and around plants every 7–10 days or after rain.
