Basic Quiche Recipe (any Flavour!)
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).GM6

  2. Roll out the pie crust into a 12-inch circle and place it into a 9-inch pie plate. Crimp or pinch the edges as desired. Use a fork to prick holes in the bottom of the crust. Place a sheet of parchment paper inside the crust and fill with pie weights or dried beans. This will prevent the pie crust from sliding or bubbling.

  3. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).GM4

  4. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together 4 large eggs, 1 cup milk, 1 cup heavy cream, ¼ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon black pepper until smooth. Stir in 1 cup shredded cheese.

  5. Spread 1 ½ cups of desired add-ins evenly over the bottom of the par-baked crust. Pour the egg mixture on top.

  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) GM4 for 40–45 minutes, or until the centre is set and a knife inserted in the middle comes out clean. Let cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving.
