Begin by combining oats, ground almonds, milk and vanilla in a small saucepan and place over a low heat and stir roughly.
Whilst that's cooking, place cherries, chia seeds and honey in a small bowl and microwave for 2 mins stirring in between.
Check on your porridge in the meantime and keep stirring until it's reached the consistency you like.
Once the cherry jam is done, press the cherries with a fork to release more moisture. allow to sit for a few minutes whilst you finish cooking the porridge.
Once everything has finished cooking, place porridge in the bowl followed by the cherry jam in the centre.
Top with flaked almonds for a real Bakewell flavour!
