Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, melted chocolate, and sugar until well combined.
Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract and salt.
Fold in flour until just combined.
Stir in chopped pecans and chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into the unbaked pie crust and spread evenly.
Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
Let the pie cool slightly before serving warm with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.
