Fusilli Ala Caprese
  1. Cook 10 oz of cheese tortellini according to package directions

  2. Slice 2 cups of grape or cherry tomatoes in half

  3. Cook minced garlic cloves in olive oil on low heat

  4. Add the sliced cherry tomatoes to the garlic and oil, cooking on low heat

  5. Season the tomatoes with salt

  6. Once the tomatoes start to collapse, remove from heat and let the sauce cool

  7. Add the cooked tortellini to a mixing bowl

  8. Pour the warm sauce over the tortellini and stir together

  9. Let the mixture cool slightly

  10. Add torn basil, black pepper, and a pinch of salt

  11. Add the entire container of marinated fresh mozzarella cheese balls

  12. Give everything one more generous stir

  13. Plate and serve
