Chocolate Chip Cookies
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter with the granulated and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix until fully combined.

  4. Add the flour, baking soda, and salt, then stir until a soft dough forms without overmixing.

  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

  6. Scoop about 1½ tablespoons of dough per cookie and place on an ungreased baking sheet, leaving space between each.

  7. Bake for 8–10 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the centers are still soft.

  8. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
