Churro French Toast Bake
  1. Butter a 9x13-inch baking dish and add the brioche cubes.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until smooth.

  3. Pour custard evenly over the bread and press gently so the top layer gets custard too. Cover tightly with foil and refrigerate overnight (8–12 hours).

  4. Heat oven to 350°F and bake covered for 30 minutes.

  5. While baking, stir together ¾ cup sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon.

  6. Remove dish from oven, uncover, and drizzle melted butter evenly over the top.

  7. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture generously over everything.

  8. Return to the oven uncovered and bake 25-30 minutes more, until the center is set and the top looks crackly and deeply golden.

  9. Let stand 10–15 minutes so slices hold together.

  10. Stir together berries and sugar and let sit 10-15 minutes.

  11. Serve slices topped with berries and a drizzle of cream, whipped cream, chocolate sauce or Cajeta.
