In a large bowl, whisk together all ingredients except the baking soda until smooth.

Cook the batter in your waffle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.Note: If using the All-Clad waffle maker, set it to the highest heat setting and let each batch go through two cooking cycles for crispy waffles. You'll pour in about ½ cup of batter per square.
