New York Style Bagels
  1. In a deep bowl pour warm water. Add sugar and yeast. Cover and leave it for 10 minutes.

  2. Add flour and salt and knead until you get a hard dough. Apply oil all over it. Cover and leave it for 1 hour.

  3. Roll the dough and cut it into 6 or 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball.

  4. Poke hole with your finger in each ball and stretch it. Roll with your fingers and give it a shape like bagel.

  5. Cover the bagels for 20 minutes. Then boil in hot water for 1 minute for each side.

  6. Mix all the seasoning ingredients.

  7. Apply egg wash on the bagel’s top and sprinkle seasoning all over the top. Put on a baking tray with parchment paper.

  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes at 425°F.
