Here's my Granny's recipe. Heat oven to 165°C. Combine 350g plain flour, 2 tsp baking powder, 1tsp salt. Rub in 150g room temp butter. Stir in 100g sugar, 250g dried fruit, 4sp mixed spice (optional). Add 100ml milk. Bring together into a sticky dough. Add more milk if needed. Press into a brownie pan. Score the top with diagonal lines. Bake for 35 minutes. Sprinkle with sugar. Enjoy.
