Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease an 8” springform pan or an 8" round cake pan with cooking spray.
Once the oven is ready, spread sliced almonds on a small baking tray. Toast them for 4-5 minutes until they turn golden brown. Be careful not to let them burn! After toasting, take them out and let them cool.
In a medium bowl, mix almond flour, baking powder, and salt.
In another larger bowl, whisk together eggs, maple syrup, oil, vanilla extract, and almond extract until smooth.
Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ones, stirring until the mixture is smooth.
Pour the batter into your prepared springform pan. Sprinkle the toasted almond slices evenly over the top.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top of the cake is lightly golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Take the cake out of the oven and let it cool in the pan.
Once cooled, dust the top with powdered sugar. You can also add more raw almond slices if you like.
