Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Melt butter in a large microwave-safe bowl.
Whisk in granulated and brown sugars. Let cool slightly.
Whisk in eggs and vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, matcha powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Add dry ingredients to wet.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Use a 1.5 tablespoon cookie scoop to scoop out cookie dough, then roll into balls.
Place balls on parchment-lined sheet pan with 2 inches of space around them.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, until just starting to brown around the edges.
Remove baking sheet from oven, and bang it on the counter 2-3 times.
Let sit on baking sheet for 2 minutes, then remove and let cool on a rack.
