Let apples, sugar and cinnamon stand while mixing cake.
In mixer at medium speed, beat well eggs, 1-½ cups sugar & salt. Add potato starch & cake meal to egg mixture alternately with oil and orange juice. Spread ½ batter in greased 9x13 pan. Spread thin layer jelly (I use apricot preserves) over batter. Add Apples. Add remaining batter.
Mix nuts, sugar & cinnamon together and sprinkle top of batter. Bake 350° 1 hour or till done.
