Preheat oven to 350° F
Mix apple sauce, cocoa powder and nut butter
Transfer batter to an 8in circle pan lined with parchment paper and sprayed with non-stick spray
Bake for 20-25 minutes
Allow to cool completely
For the ganache: heat the milk and pour over the chocolate chips. Mix until smooth and pour over the cake.
NOTES: May want to add maple syrup and a bit of almond flour because of the extra liquid from the maple syrup. I also added ⅛ tsp each of baking powder and soda.
