Whisk the egg with the sugar, then add the remaining ingredients.

Pour a tablespoon of oil into a cool pan, then use a paper towel to spread it around and absorb any excess.

The batter blobs will spread into little circles. You should be able to fit about three into a regular-sized pan.
Flip them when they start to slightly bubble on the surface.
Use the oily paper-towel to re-oil the pan as needed between batches.
