Prime Rib For Beginners
  1. Salt the prime rib and place uncovered in the refrigerator overnight

  2. Take out of the refrigerator for 2 hours and pat dry with a paper towel

  3. Trim some of the fat on top

  4. Tie tightly with kitchen twine

  5. Season generously and place on cooking rack

  6. Preheat oven to 500°F degrees

  7. Roast 5 minutes per each pound for medium rare (internal temperature should be around 125°F)

  8. Turn off heat and leave in the oven for another 2 hours

  9. Do not open the oven during the whole cooking process
