Rinse the brown rice and quinoa together under running water.
Combine the rinsed grains in the rice cooker.
Add water in a 2:1 ratio (2 cups of water for every cup of grains).
Add any optional seasonings or spices.
Close the rice cooker lid and select the appropriate cooking setting.
Allow the rice cooker to complete the cooking cycle (about 30-40 minutes).
Let the grains rest for 10-15 minutes after cooking.
Fluff the grains with a fork and serve.
