Roasted Garlic Parmesan Broccoli:
Ingredients:
1 head of broccoli, cut into florets
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Prepare the broccoli: Wash the broccoli thoroughly and cut it into florets. Dry the florets well using a kitchen towel or paper towels to ensure they roast nicely.
Season the broccoli: In a large bowl, toss the broccoli florets with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper until they are evenly coated.
Roast the broccoli: Spread the seasoned broccoli florets in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Make sure not to overcrowd the pan to ensure even roasting. Roast in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are crispy and the broccoli is tender, tossing halfway through cooking.
Add Parmesan cheese: Once the broccoli is roasted, remove it from the oven and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top while it's still hot. The residual heat will melt the cheese and help it adhere to the broccoli.
Serve: Transfer the roasted garlic Parmesan broccoli to a serving dish and garnish with lemon wedges if desired. Squeeze some fresh lemon juice over the broccoli just before serving to add a bright, citrusy flavor.
