Hamburger Buns
  1. Bloom your yeast in the warm water and sugar

  2. Add butter, salt, and egg

  3. Add flour in ½ cup at a time. Dough should clean the sides of your bowl and not be overly sticky

  4. Knead until dough passes windowpane test

  5. Shape into a ball and put into a greased bowl

  6. Let the dough rise until it doubles in size (~1-2 hours)

  7. Cut into 8 equal pieces and shape into balls

  8. Let the dough rise again for another 30-45 minutes

  9. Press down on buns to flatten them out slightly

  10. Egg wash and top with sesame seeds if desired

  11. Bake at 375F 15-20 minutes
