Donut Loaf Cake
  1. Heat oven to 375°F. Grease and line two 7.75 × 3.75-inch loaf pans.

  2. Whisk dry ingredients

  3. Whisk wet ingredients

  4. Add dry to wet; whisk just until combined.

  5. Fold in sanding sugar.

  6. Combine all ingredients for streusel. Keep at room temp

  7. Divide batter between pans, filling each one ⅓ full

  8. Sprinkle a thick even layer of streusel; lightly press.

  9. Add remaining batter and spread gently. This should be a thin layer

  10. Finish with a very generous streusel layer. Do not press.

  11. Sprinkle additional sanding sugar (optional).

  12. Bake 40 minutes. Tent with foil if streusel browns too quickly.

  13. Bake until a tester in the cake comes out with moist crumbs.

  14. Cool 20 minutes in pans, then transfer to a rack.

  15. Whisk all ingredients for glaze

  16. Drizzle over cooled loaves.

  17. Chill for 30-40 minutes
