Slice the onions thinly.
In a bowl, mix the chickpea flour, cumin, coriander, chili powder and salt.
Add the sliced onions and mix well, adding water a little at a time to form a thick batter.
Heat oil in a pan and drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil.
Fry the onion bhajis until golden brown on both sides.
Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
