Strawberry Pretzel Salad
  1. In a bowl, mix the pretzel crumbs with a quarter cup of sugar and three quarters of a cup of melted butter to create the crust.

  2. Press this mixture firmly into a 13 by 9 inch baking dish.

  3. Bake the crust in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for 8 minutes, then allow it to cool.

  4. In another bowl, combine eight ounces of cream cheese, one cup of sugar, and a pinch of salt.

  5. Gently fold in a tub of Cool Whip until well blended.

  6. Spread this cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.

  7. In a separate bowl, dissolve the big box of strawberry jello in two cups of boiling water.

  8. Stir in two and a half cups of frozen sliced strawberries into the jello mixture.

  9. Place the jello mixture in the fridge and let it chill until it begins to gel but is not fully set, which should take about 10 minutes.

  10. Carefully pour the jello mixture over the cream cheese layer.
