Make Crab Mixture: In a separate bowl, mix together mayonnaise, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic, seasonings and cheese until well combined. Gently fold in the lump crab meat, being careful not to break up the crab too much. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Assemble: Evenly distribute the crab mixture over the garlic buttered bread.
Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 8-10 minutes, or until the bread edges are golden brown and the crab mixture is hot.
Serve: Remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly, then slice into individual servings.
