Slovakian Apple And Poppyseed Pie
  1. Blind bake the pastry case.

  2. Mix together grated apples and cinnamon.

  3. Pour the boiling milk over poppy seeds and mix well with a spoon.

  4. Once the mixture has cooled, add the honey and then stir the poppy seeds into the apples.

  5. Spread over the baked pastry case.

  6. Top the poppyseed filling with a shallow layer of lemon curd.

  7. Make a pastry lid and layer on the top.

  8. Seal the edges and brush with melted butter or egg yolk.

  9. Bake until golden - approx 25 - 30 mins.
