Family circle Christmas Pud 1988
  1. Grease 2 ½pt pudding basin, line base with a circle of greaseproof paper.

  2. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Spoon into basin, press down firmly. Level top.

  3. Cover with greased greaseproof paper and a similar round of foil, fold to make 1"pleat, tie with string.

  4. Steam for 3 hours, topping up water if required.

Pressure cook - presteam 20min then HP 15lb for 1 ¾ hour npr.

Reheat steam 1 hour or pressure cook 45min HP.
