Wash the rice grains thoroughly until water runs clear and drain well. Optimally Soak rice for 30 minutes to reduce glucose spike.
Melt the butter in a pot
Bring the water to a boil
Add the washed rice and salt to the boiling water
Stir and bring to a boil again
Reduce heat to a simmer, cover the pot, and set timer for 16 minutes
Remove from heat and let steam covered for 10 minutes
Fluff the rice with a fork and serve
