Lightly grease a muffin tray or line with paper cups.
Beat butter, sugar, vanilla sugar & salt until creamy.
Add eggs one at a time.
Mix in the cream.
Combine flour + baking powder and fold in.
Divide the batter evenly into the muffin tray.
Pre-bake at 180°C for about 12 minutes.
Heat butter, sugar & cream, then stir in almonds + flour.
Spoon the almond mixture onto the muffins.
Bake for another 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
Optional: top with cream & dust with powdered sugar!
