Brown the butter on low heat until golden brown.
Remove from heat and add the brown sugar and white sugar, mixing until just combined.
Add the egg yolk, whole egg, and vanilla, mixing until combined.
Add the flour, baking soda, and salt, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Scoop the dough into 2oz balls, rolling them between your hands.
Add a few extra chocolate pieces to the top of each cookie.
Chill the cookies for at least 30 minutes.
Bake at 350°F for 11-12 minutes.
Top the baked cookies with sea salt.
