I prefer cold avocados so store them in the fridge for at least 2 hours prior to starting.
Grab a board or a bowl - i did this right on the board. Finely chop 1 large handful fresh cilantro which yields about ⅓ cup.
To the cilantro, add ½ finely diced large red onion, 1 finely diced jalapeño (remove the seeds if you dont like it spicy!), and 2 freshly minced garlic cloves.
Grab your 3 large avocados, remove the skin and pit and add to the rest.
Squeeze the juice of 1 small lime. If you want more lime-y you can add more lime after you taste it later.
Add ½ tsp cumin, a couple generous pinches of salt, then mash using a fork or utensil. I like my guac on the chunkier side so mash lightly, but mash longer or shorter depending on your preference.
Enjoy immediately, with your favorite vessel.
