Prepare Your ApplesWash, peel and chop the apples into medium chunks, making sure to remove the core and seeds (Juice of 6 eating apples, green or red, peeled or unpeeled lemon peel them if you like, I prefer to keep the skins on for more fibre.Juice of ½ lemon
Steam or BoilPlace the apple chunks in a steamer basket over boiling water, or boil them in a pot with a small amount of water. Cook until they’re soft and tender, which should take about 10–15 minutes. If boiling, strain the apples to remove excess water before blending.
Blend Until SmoothAllow the apples to cool slightly, then transfer them to a powerful blender or a nutri blender. Add the juice of half a lemon and blend until smooth. The result should be a velvety, lump-free apple sauce.
Store in Clean JarsPour the blended apple sauce into sterilised jars or airtight containers. Let it cool completely before sealing. Store it in the fridge for up to a week, or freeze for up to 3 months.
