In a bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 mins until bubbly.
Add vegetable oil, then stir in the flour and salt.
Knead by hand for about 5-7 mins until the dough is smooth and elastic.
Let it rest for 15 mins. Divide into 4 balls and let them rest for another 15 mins.
Flatten each ball, spread a layer of soft butter, roll it into a log, and shape it into a ring (donut shape).
Dip each ring into the water-molasses mixture, then coat generously with sesame seeds.
Let them rise on a baking tray until doubled in size.
Bake at 170°C for 10 mins, then increase to 190°C for another 10-15 mins until deep golden brown.
Serve warm with cheese, olives, or honey.
