Sift together flour and sugar.
Cut in butter until crumbly. Save ¼ cup.
Add baking powder, salt and egg yolks.
Add milk & beat for 3 minutes.
In small bowl, beat egg whites until stiff.
Fold in egg whites with cake batter.
Pour into greased pan. Put drained fruit over top.
Sprinkle with ¼ cup of reserved mix (above) over fruit.
Bake 40 - 50 minutes and cool
Top with Glaze. 1 cup Powdered sugar, 2.5tbsp butter, ¾tsp almond extract
