Chocolate Chip scones

  1. Heat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  3. Add the butter by grating it.

  4. Add chocolate chips.

  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sour cream, egg, and vanilla. Then add to dry ingredients. Do not over-mix.

  6. Bring the dough together in a ball.

  7. Place onto prepared baking sheet. Slightly flatten the dough ball.

  8. Bake until golden brown. 14-25 minutes?

NOTE: You can make this savoury by adding cooked and chopped bacon, sautéed onions, and cheddar cheese.
