Ghosht Pilau
  1. Heat oil and fry onions until starting to brown - Do not allow to brown fully.

  2. Add garlic, ginger, salt & spices & fry until a strong aroma develops.

  3. Add meat & stir on high till brown on all sides.

  4. Add chopped tomatoes & continue frying on medium heat until tomatoes have become a paste & meat is beginning to tenderize.

  5. Add small amounts of water if needed.

  6. Add water and soaked rice. Stir & bring to the boil.

  7. Cover & cook on low heat for 15-20 minutes, stirring once, until all water is soaked up & the rice & meat are cooked.

  8. If water is not enough, sprinkle with a few drops - Remember, a little goes a long way when rice are almost cooked.
