Fresh Green Beans
  1. Break the ends of the green beans off and discard. Then break each green bean into bite-sized pieces.

  2. Place the green beans and butter in a large pot. Cover with water.

  3. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and continue cooking, stirring often, until the water is almost completely cooked out and the beans are very tender.

  4. Salt and pepper to taste.
