Scald milk and cool to lukewarm.
Dissolve yeast in ¼ c. warm water.
Add sugar, salt, eggs, butter and 2 c. flour. Beat well.
Add enough remaining flour to make a soft dough.
Knead for 2 minutes.
Place in greased bowl, cover and let rise until double, about 1 hour.
Punch down and let rise again.
Divide dough into 12 equal pieces.
Roll each piece into a rope about 12 inches long.
Form into a pretzel shape and place on greased baking sheet.
Cover and let rise until double, about 30 minutes.
Bake at 400°F for 12-15 minutes.
